Hi. I was wondering how accessible aim is, and are there any scripts for it? And if so, where can I get them? Thanks
Aim is very accessible, no scripts needed for it. DO you use Jaws or Window Eyes? I think it's accessible with either screen reader. If you have any other questions, feel free to post and ask.
ok, thanks. I use jaws, so I'll go ahead and download it. smile
don't get triton though. get AIM 5.9. Triton is not yet supported by jaws.
yeah I saw that. I got 5.9 because it said recommended for screen readers
ok. good
Hi. I used to think AIM was inaccessible, and went for years not having it. All the blind friends I knew used MSN. A few months ago, a blind friend showed me that AIM 5.9 works perfectly well with JAWS. I hope they keep it available. If AIM starts forcing people to upgrade to Triton, that'll cause a mess for us.
What's triton?
Troy
The newest version of aim, but aol wouldn't do that they're not that stupid.
hey ok, I've been using the 5.9 for a while now, and does anyone know a quick way to read messages that have been sent, because if it's a long message when it sent jaws only reads the bottom line, and when I shift tab to the message log, it's difficult to scroll up the messages and then when someone sends me a message while I'm trying to read it puts me back down at the bottom of the message log again. Thanks
hi, I just wanted to put this topic back at the top of the board to see if anyone know's the answer to my previous post.
Thanks
hmmm. Try hitting insert control W to vurtualize the window. When your done reading that hit escape and you'll be back in the message. That's the only thing that comes to mind.
